How to Improve A Relationship?  Restore the Passion

Communication is indeed one of the most important elements in building and maintaining a healthy relationship.  But just what is communication?  Certainly it cannot be the only way to improve a relationship!  Then again, must communication always be verbal?

Hardly!

In fact, one of the best ways to improve a relationship is for couples to ease up on the daily stresses of life and shift their attention from problems to passion.  How is that for inspired communication!

Even in the midst of attempts to genuinely communicate, problems can take on new meaning when the passion of the relationship is gone.  In a relationship void of passion, even small relationship problems can become huge obstacles.  And yet ironically, when there is plenty of passion to keep the relationship alive, what seemed once like huge problem suddenly seems less important.  What better way to improve a relationship!

How can you intensify the passion of your relationship?  Is it possible to restore the magic from the early days?

Absolutely.

From sensual scents to alluring attire, set the stage for passion.  Make it a point to communicate that passion.  Replace the urge to dig up old problems with an enticing encounter.

Sometimes an emotionally charged evening can prove a far more successful means to improve a relationship than hours of heated discussion.

Use these ideas for starters …

  • Plan an impromptu, intimate lunch.  If possible, take the afternoon off.
  • Plan a romantic getaway.  Nothing complicated.  It can be as simple as trip to the spa or a one night stay in a hotel.
  • Forget the problems and enjoy a romantic movie at home.
  • Send flowers.  This is especially effective when they are delivered at work!
  • Hold hands … remember the early days …
  • Tell him/her you love them … every day
  • Plan a romantic date…a fancy dinner…a bottle of wine… let your imagination be your guide.
  • Use humor to your advantage.  Humor is one of the best cures for sadness … and it can prove to work powerfully to erase the pain of the past.  Humor is fun – and fun should be your immediate short term goal.  Romance is fun.  Laugh and enjoy your encounters.

Let go of the daily grind … if only for a few hours!  After all, there are certainly more unpleasant ways to improve a relationship.
